Hello everyone! My name is Derek Garcia and I am the owner of the very first JDog Junk Removal & Hauling franchise in Colorado!
With the support of family, friends, and the wonderful folks at JDog HQ, I started my JDog franchise in March of 2016. We support the metro Denver area and surrounding rural communities, with a focus on the northeast metro corridor. Since our franchise’s inception, we’ve experienced great success, primarily driven by outstanding value and quality of work!
Though building the franchise has been challenging, I am very proud of our accomplishments and can honestly say that investing my time, talents, and (of course) money into a JDog franchise has been a life-changing experience. I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
I currently live in Denver, CO. with my two daughters, Selena and Aaliyah. I’m a Denver native and I enjoy beautiful Colorado and all it has to offer. It really is a great place to live and raise my children!
I served in the United States Navy for six years as an Electronics Technician, Nuclear Qualified. My duties included operating nuclear reactors on the USS Nimitz, along with maintaining reactor controls equipment. As a Petty Officer First Class, I also led and managed a team of technicians. Upon my discharge from the Navy, I worked at Newport News Shipbuilding in Newport News, VA as an Electrical Test Engineer for Nimitz-class aircraft carriers. I then returned home to Denver, obtained my bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and worked in the beer industry for fourteen years.
