Garbage Each residential customer shall place their 95 gallon trash cart within three (3) feet of the curb or street by 7:00 a.m. on their scheduled service day. Place cart at least three (3) feet from any vehicle or structure, such as mailboxes, utility poles, fences, etc. The front of the cart should be facing the street so that the lid opens towards the street. The lid must be closed on the cart. If you find your weekly accumulation exceeds the capacity of one cart, you have the option of adding an additional cart by contacting the City of Watauga Utility Billing Department at 817.514.5705.

Monthly Bulk and Brush Pick Up: Progressive will provide monthly large item pick up for residential customers. Large items include, but are not limited to, fence panels cut in half, mattresses, box springs, furniture, stoves, hot water heaters, carpet (cut and rolled up in four (4) foot in length and tied up), and any other appliances or items of like kind. Progressive will also remove up to five cubic yards (5’x5’x5’) of loose brush, as well as bundled brush.
Construction/Remodel/Large Brush Piles: Waste consisting of building materials resulting from construction, replacement, remodeling, repair or demolition operations in a residential or commercial location are considered to be “construction debris” and shall not be picked up with regular bulk items that are approved for collection. Individuals wishing to have “construction debris” or large piles of loose brush exceeding five (5) cubic yards removed will need to make special arrangements with Progressive, as well as pay additional fees to Progressive for collection. Progressive Transfer Station: The Progressive Transfer Station located at 2120 Minnis Drive, Haltom City is also available M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sat. from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Watauga residents can dispose of trash, bulk items, brush, or construction debris for $35.00 per ton. The Transfer Station also accepts, but is not limited to, tires, batteries, cardboard, recycling and electronics.
Holiday Schedule: If the holiday falls on your service day, trash and recycling will be collected the following day.

Christmas Tree Disposal: Progressive will provide a container for tree recycling at the Progressive Transfer Station at 2120 Minnis Drive, Haltom City for three weeks beginning Dec. 26th.
